Neiman Marcus for Target

In all the hustle and bustle the past few weeks, I totally FORGOT that tomorrow starts the launch of Neiman Marcus for Target. Similar to last years Missoni for Target sale, this launch will include an array of designers. Tory Burch, Marc Jacobs, DVF, Carolina Herrera, Brian Atwood, and so many more. Each designer has contributed one to three pieces for their line. Needless to say I will be at Target tomorrow morning bright and early to snag myself a Tory Burch lunch box!!

Are you headed to Target early in the am???

Before you go, head on over to Cotton's Pickins for a great Lucy and Me Jewelry EXCLUSIVE necklace giveaway!!!

DIY Part 3

Last but not least I headed to the Dollar Tree yesterday after stumbling upon a super easy and fun Pinterest project!! It's called the Dollar Tree Makeup Storage Tray!

The supplies! Everything can be purchased at the Dollar Tree with the exception of the E-600 glue.

First you need to glue to candle stick to the bottom of the tray!

Then glue the next try on the top of the candle stick!

Then add of the next candle stick just like the bottom tray!

Let it dry and set before putting all your goodies on!

All my finished DIY's!!
Didn't they all turn out awesome?! I'm so excited and can't wait to use everything!!

What DIY's have you done lately??

DIY Part 2

Next up in this mini DIY series is the cheese grater earring stand! I thought this would be a great project to do because I could use the stands for up and coming jewelry shows! Here are the steps!

Cheese graters, primer, and any color spray paint!

spray the cheese grater with primer

let it dry!

once dry spray paint it with your color of choice!

viola!!

A great finished product!!!
In order to minimize the mess, I put down some paper on the table so I would not ruin anything! As well, I held a small canvas behind the grater when spray painting!

To finish up my weekend I made one more DIY and I'll post it next!!! Enjoy!

DIY Part 1

Much to my enjoyment Saturday was one of the first days in a LONG time that I was able to sit around my house and enjoy the day. I had no concrete plans or any obligations! (If you know me personally, you know that is a big deal) In hopes of making the most of my day, I decided to catch up on jewelry orders and do some fun DIY projects that I had been wanting to do for some time now!

First and foremost, I'm slightly obsessed with Lauren Conrad.  Even more so now that she has crafting video segments on her website called Crafty Creations  These videos are actually super awesome to watch because you actually get to see how the craft turns out, instead of getting instructions and doing the craft yourself first.

My favorite two creations on Laurens website are her cheese grader earring stand and decorative tray. So this weekend I went on the hunt for the right fabric and spray paint to tackle both projects!

First up was the decorative tray!
Fabric, spray tacky glue, scissor and a cookie tray

Glue the fabric on the outer side of the tray!

Then trim down your fabric!

Flip the tray and spray all the corners!

Fold fabric to form the back of the tray!

Viola!

I'm so pleased with the turn out! The only issue I had was that I sprayed a little too much glue on the outer side of the tray, thus leaving a little glue mark once I put the fabric down. Other than that I can't wait to make another!

Next post up will be my instructions for my cheese grater earring stands!

Black Friday

I don't know about y'all, but Black Friday is one of my most favorite days of the year. Endless sales, craziness all over and the beginning of Christmas. For the past 5 years I've always gotten up at 4 am and made my way to the Crabtree Valley Road right down the street. This past year my family and I decided to try something different and that was starting the shopping craze at Target starting at midnight.

This is the only a portion of the line outside the building.

This year I plan to do a lot of my shopping online, but I will make sure I hit my favorite spots to get the best deals from clothes and accessories to technology and stocking stuffers.
  • Forever 21
  • H&M
  • Target
  • Walmart
  • The Container Store
  • Old Navy
  • Cameron Village

Do you shop on Black Friday??? If so, where are you headed to shop?

MayDesigns

While I'm by now everyone has heard of MayDesigns (formally Maybooks), I just had to write a post sharing my love for the company. First and foremost, I am a HUGE nerd when it comes to buying office supplies. I love texture and visual appeal when it comes to certain products.

When I first heard of MayDesigns on The College Prepster, it was love at first sight! With different color, patterns, paper, and monograms choices you can make the perfect notebook for yourself!!!

As you can see, I'm quite the MayDesigns junkie!!!

Have you gotten any MayBooks or MayNotes from MayDesigns lately?
